International Days of Macroeconomics and Finance 2020

The INREDD research lab of the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, the Research Department of Bank Al-Maghrib, and the Bernoulli Center for Economics of the University of Basel invite submissions for the 5th edition of the International Days of Macroeconomics and Finance. The event will take place at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences of the Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech Morocco, on June 2nd and 3rd, 2020. The objective of these days is to foster a productive exchange between researchers and decision-makers and to formulate recommendations to address critical economic policy issues.

Contributions are welcome from all areas of macroeconomics and finance. Both theoretical and empirical papers will be considered. This year’s edition will give priority to papers related to the theme “Labor Market: Theoretical Renewals and Empirical Evidence”. The choice of this theme would allow to address, through Moroccan and international experiences, various topical issues including labor market inclusiveness, the job-training adequacy, informality and precarious employment, wages and competitiveness, labor market policies and institutions, demographic challenges as well as issues related to new technologies and globalization.

Submission of papers

The deadline for completed papers submission is February 23rd, 2020. Interested authors should submit their papers in electronic form (PDF) to jimf.marrakech@gmail.com. Authors of submitted papers will be notified with the decision of the scientific committee before March 22nd, 2020. Papers can be presented in French or English. The list of selected papers will be published on the website of the conference.

Participation fees

There are no participation fees. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participants. The organizing committee covers accommodation expenses.
